I created an account in mturk last year. But i dnt frequently work on my account.I started working exactly frm jan of this

year.I just wanted to know whether there is any authorised person to approve our account. Coz one of my friend paid a sum

of Rs.1000 for getting his account approved.Have u all got your account approved by paying some intermediaries or did u ppl just do it by following the instructions in mturk? As of now i have around 20$. But i have

been blocked from working in oscar smith's hit. Will my account be approved?

You shouldn't ever pay someone to be an intermediary, they can't guarantee anything. Just follow the given procedure.

If your account is approved and not suspended, you should be fine since it was established previously. At this time, it does not appear that Amazon Mechanical Turk is accepting new non-US members to the workforce.

No one here has any authority or works for Amazon or can represent them.

Are you asking about your Amazon Payments account? You shouldn't have to pay anything to get it authorized. In the US, when you link a bank account they place a temporary charge of $1 to your account to make sure it's active. Not sure how things work overseas, but you shouldn't be paying anyone to validate your account. Use the mTurk and Amazon Payments system to do it yourself.

Ditto what Whimsy said. If you're blocked from doing a requester, then your mTurk account is already authorized and accepted -- you've already done work. If you have been inactive for more than 45 days, you have to go through the initial 10 day newbie period, where you have to do 1 HIT a day for 10 days, with a limit of 100 HITs/day, and payment is withheld until the end of the 10 day period. Other than that, you sound like you're all set up.

Thank you. But here in my city there are people who do this as a business. They charge either 1000 or 2000 . What they do is they will send our scanned documents for verification, create an id for us and provide us with 2 day training fr wrking in mturk.

I wish I could help but you have already been given good advice. I'm confused though on why you would have to pay somebody to set up your account?!?

Wow. That's a good idea... in theory. Sounds like a ripoff to me but things are way easier in the US. Why do they have to make you an ID? Can't you get one on your own? And you don't need 2 days worth of training. You need to read forums and try HITs and try for yourself. Nobody will be able to tell you what HITs you'll be good at or qualified for. You have to figure that out.

These fucckin faggots out here are betraying and misusing innocent ppl charging money for their registration...I wish they all get caught for fraudulence...

Most importantly these so-called training centres cud be a major reason why amazon aint accepting new workers since they must have detected hell lotta registrations from one single IP..For Holy sake at once thats come to a halt..Atleast ppl aint being busted by these scammy vultures for now

Let those asses go behind the bars...Grrrrrrrrrr
