For those who havent read my previous post, I created a mturk account a lil too early (2 week before my 18 birthday) it even got more complicated because while I have a ssn number and all that goodness, Ive been living outside of the US for nearly all my life and I'm just moving back, so I bet you in a few days i'd be suspended because Amazon wont be able to verify my existence aside from a ssn number (no drivers license, no state license, no highschool records, no anything). I know i could go the long route and try to explain to them.

    OR

Is it wrong for my brother to make an account (his name. his email, his ssn, his bank account info), but its me behind the computer screen?

Technically it's fraud, but ...its consensual? I dunno it seems peachy to me but I dont want to infringe on anything.

It doesn’t matter whether it is consensual or not - using someone else’s SSN & bank info is fraud.

Getting your brother’s permission only makes you both criminally liable.

In this scenario, your brother would be responsible for paying the income taxes on your earnings. You have to be 18 and a US resident to join Mechanical Turk. You can't work under someone else's name. Sorry.

I know that the second part of the verification process done through Payments (and the ones who suspend accounts for not being able to be verified - and not given the reason why) uses the information that the IRS has on file for you (it has to match exactly.) I don't know what those who have never filed before have done to get approved.
