Most of my paycheck is going to whatever money I borrowed. It isn't a whole lot, but I'd rather get rid of that stuff now than later.

True but, you do have the 10 year deferment option and should use it as you need it b/c hell the gov may very well bail out or make future concessions for this type of debt.

I agree. Student Loan debt is at an ungodly amount. I would expect to see some sort of government deferment of payments or something.

Wow... do you practice with the writing gigs here? Do you have you turk masters? I noticed they have so many postings for fictional writing. My BFF in college got her MA in Writing and teaches at U of Tampa. She went to U of New Hampshire. Would you want to teach or freelance write?
After I finish Vet School I'm going back for my PhD in Lab Animal Medicine... You're right, it'll be nice to have somebody pay for me for a change, instead of me paying them.

The government can't afford to do anything that it's doing, but it will promise to fix it, sure. Some sort of extended payment or reduction of interest rate law I could see happening. The real problem is that people are paying more for an education that's worth less in a global market that's awful. The price of education needs to drastically fall. Anybody in the world can get a college education with a laptop and an internet connection. It's getting harder and harder to justify the rising price tag of the paper that proves it. If I was going to college these days, I would spend the whole time networking my ass off. Because when it comes down to it, the people with the connections are going to get the opportunities. Edit: There's almost no chance I would decide to go to college as a high school grad right now.
Lol can't wait to see the intellectual road this debt debate goes down. As I learned previously the knowledge of economic and political relations in here is slightly worse than in a coffin.

That's the only way to go...free ride all the way. I do like the openculture.com site that is emerging. This is how education should be free access to the best teachers and if you've got what it takes, you'll make it.
I don't have Masters and I don't do writing on here. I sometimes feel like i'm cheating myself out of money by not doing writing on here but I am behind on my own writing so I feel like i'm creatively cheating by doing other work. I'd be freelancing, i've considered teaching but i'm not sure if I have the patience. I'll be going to Johns Hopkins, I was supposed to start in January but I didn't get my physical done in time to get my immunizations so I could start (stupid policy!). I mainly do screenwriting
