Yeah, I wasn't even inferring some were better than others. Just saying. I'm surprised more requesters don't do this. It's got to piss amazon off if they actually cared.

What is that value? Something like 5k HITs and a 95%+ approval rating? You can get that for free by placing those requirements on your HIT. You can even go much further with your requirements.

I think Masters is attractive only to those who have little to no experience with mTurk (or little inclination to learn in order to save money), and I don't blame them. It's a confusing system with really poor customer service, both for those working and those requesting. For those who know just a little bit, it's quite easy to access masters-caliber workers for the same price as average workers.

 

They need to have Ryberg's seal of approval.

Not sure, he said something about another forum but I don't remember the name, or if he even mentioned a name.

 

You can get 5k HITs and 95% approval in two weeks on penny batches that take little to no skill. Masters have at least been around for a duration of time without getting banned. Their account has been reviewed by Amazon (that's only a theory I will concede) and have passed some sort of muster. As I said, the value added is so miniscule that is likely not worth a 20% surchage.

Masters or not, I hope we get a lot more requesters to post work in the future.
