That was a London squirrel, actually. I've always said Londoners are much friendlier than NYers. That applies to the wildlife, too. I've got a little guy (or girl - never looked) that likes to eat his/her breakfast right on the deck railing near the sliding glass door. Same time every day. I never tried going out with him/her there, though. But he/she doesn't mind me tapping on the glass to say hello.
I wanted to get it so much, but finances elude me atm. I can't wait to play it again soonish hopefully.
I watched a pigeon get run over by a car as it was stopped at a light. It unleashed a blood tornado. Sad but comical.
We had a flying squirrel come down the chimney when I lived in FL. We kept it as a pet for a short while then released him to the back yard. We named him Linus because he loved to take his little blanket and tunnel into it. We always knew where he was in the trees because he would drag that blanket with him.
Yo Lucas, just fired up the duolingo for the first time this year. Hopefully, I'll finish it this time around. I'm only at 9% with a 0 day streak . I see you're still going strong with a 939 day streak. Good shit!
Yeah, I used to get shit for that all the time from other Brits. Wtf do you mean London is FRIENDLY? Well, dude, when you live in NY... But yeah it's true. You could straight up have a full conversation with random people while waiting for the bus. Though I will say people were a lot chattier and happier in Scotland. Unfortunately, I had absolutely no clue in the world what the hell they were talking about (dat accent omg). I just trained myself to burst out laughing whenever they did.
I fired that up on the first or second of the year. I crunched the numbers, and figured out that the "five minutes per day" plan would take me a few years to get fluent, so I bailed. I'm pretty sure that you could do it faster if you used some sort of spaced repetition.
I believe that, my grandmother is from Glasgow and she and her family are definitely like that. New Yorkers seem pretty nice to me though. Maybe I assume everyone over there is a soccer hooligan.
Damn, Levar Burton still killin' it with the Reading Rainbow. He hardly looks a day older than I remember as a kid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbHgjuVtkUI
Aww, I didn't get to Glasgow. I went to Edinburgh for a day to check out a college and I stayed in Aberdeen for about a month. But yeah, Scotland is HAPPY wtf LOL. Such a contrast to England where I picked up, well...a lot of interesting slang, let's just put it that way. People always seemed so irritated, but I found it amusing. My roommates taught me many nawty werds. NYers are nice to me, too, though. It's just they aren't very open or trusting, if you know what I mean. It was far easier for me to converse with total strangers over there than here. I mean, I was getting into my favorite club for free after my first few visits and chilling in the DJ booth and shit right off the bat. But here - not even close LOL. No VIP treatment for me.
