Not really worried about that. If it were an attention check failure or anything that was my own fault, I would suck it up and move on. But this isn't that. It seems to be a survey glitch but I will not have someone say I didn't read an article when I clearly did. Like I said, if that isn't sufficient, the university can deal with it. Hard block isn't something I am worried about in this case. And an academic requester would not really want to go down that road when it isn't justified.

Don't say I didn't warn you. People have been blocked for giving requesters crap before regardless if the rejection was warranted or not.

 

I wouldn't call what I wrote "giving crap." This isn't someone getting caught randomly clicking or using a script to automate a batch.

Also, check out TO. Very rarely does a post mentioning contacting an IRB end with what you describe. Almost universally this action results in an overturning of the original rejection. And you know someone would post about a hard block if it happened. I absolutely would do that to warn others.

 

I'd sooner eat a rejection than a block IMO. Especially the way Amazon's been playing hardball with accounts.

 

Is everyone else still having their TM totally messed up? It is getting WORSE for me. Not better since I restarted it.

Too many surveys.

I try to be nice and "helpful" and send messages to requesters. I've been a grad student, I have some empathy.

But I've sent so many messages to dumbass requesters today over no code, multiple codes, surveys not submitting, etc. So this survey with a cut&paste error repeating questions and no comment box... I just don't care anymore. They'll figure it out when they see the nonsense data on one question. Or not.

 

It looks like a monster is about to jump out of that
