Newbie worries: I just received my first 2 rejections With 1 I clearly messed up. I rated about 50 photos and I must have missed rating 1 and submitted it. The other 49 got approved. So I emailed the requester and asked if I could redo the hit. He said he's unable to undo the rejection but gave me a bonus. Which is nice, but I still have the rejection on my account. Anything else I could do? The other 1 was a $0.19 survey and all it says "reject". Should I bother asking?
He can reverse the rejection he is just being lazy. I'd ask him for a reversal again and mention how it hurts your account to get rejections.
There's a link somewhere that explains how to reverse a rejection. If anybody has it on hand, OP could send it along to the requester.
This is the one I have. Not sure if it's the right one. http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSMechTurk/latest/RequesterUI/ReversingRejectedAssignment.html
I was just about to link to that. I'm not sure if they keep that info up to date, but it seems like that would be the best source.
It's also on a thread for requesters at the other forum. I sent 2 requ over there once. http://turkernation.com/forumdisplay.php?131-Requester-How-Tos-amp-FAQs&
The link I provided for the reversal of requesters, is that still good anyway? If not, I'll just delete that link.
Amazon seems to make it unnecessarily complicated to reverse a rejection -- not crazy hard, but it looks intimidating enough that many requesters don't want to bother. There should be an obvious "reverse rejection" button in the requester interface. "Enter HIT ID here: _____" and done. Stupid Amazon. Hell, once it reverses they'd even get their cut...
