Hello, I'm new here, does anyone know When mturk will let me request my first payment? I joined on June 22nd and have done hits everyday, the least amount of hits I have done in one day was 4.
What is PandA? PandA is an acronym for PreviewandAccept and the term comes from the URL manipulation that is needed in order to "panda" hits. By panda'ing hits, you can auto accept a hit without previewing it first. This is what a regular hit on mturk looks like when you're previewing it: By adding "andaccept" inbetween "preview" and the question mark, the HIT link is now a "panda" link. Which looks like this: What this means is that by refreshing that PandA link , the hit will be automatically accepted into your queue instead of you just previewing it. The HIT will be in your queue. You can put PandAs in your Turkmaster or Chrome's Refresh extensions.
Thank you that helps. Can you please tell me when I would do this. I guess I don't understand I am always reading get your Pandas ready and I just don't understand how to do it and when. I feel dumb I know you just gave me a really great explanation.
When someone says, "Get your pandas ready"... It means they returned the HIT which means it's going back in mturk. It's your chance to grab it using the panda. Or when a HIT is often reposted so you just get your panda ready in case it posts again. Never feel dumb. No question is stupid. We all have been new. Feel free to ask any further questions you may have.
panda is short term for preview and accept. it simply means that you run the HIT accept url on autorefresh to grab a HIT that is returned by someone else

Hi, all~ I did some turking a few years ago, then quit, closed my account, etc. I tried to reopen it because I'd received an email inviting me to some work I wanted to do, but apparently I opened a different account instead of reopening the original one. Can't find any phone numbers for reaching someone at Amazon Payments to straighten it out. Does anyone have a valid Amazon Payments email? (I know I can email them, but I get nonsensical answers in return.)
INDIANS help me out with my KYC ID Number Verification Doubt. i am from india , I created my MTURK account on 2011. after the creation for a week i have done some hits and earned 5$, but after that i started my work last week. now i earned above 10$. To enrollment for indian rupees. i submitted my KYC ID number verification before 3 days. i got a small doubt in it. i submitted my PAN CARD for ID verification, i have given my number as R.Jeevendran here is mturk but in my PAN CARD its R JEEVENDRAN RAMAKRISHNAN. do they accpet it or can i change it now. i submitted it 3 days back. still its under verification. what should i do i they cancel my verification. pls help me out guys.
Hi, I am a requester and I have been using MTurk for a while. I now have a unique problem to which I was hoping to get an answer here in this forum. I have N images and in a given HIT, I randomly pick K of them to display to a worker. Now the next time the same worker picks up my HIT, I want to display images that were not displayed the first time, i.e., I want to choose from the remaining N-K images, and so on. Is there a handy script that allows one to do this? My idea was to keep track of the workerId and the K images each time they are viewed and manually process them but I feel this is not a very clean strategy. Appreciate the help in advance!

My permissions say that I can't post a new thread but I need to post a thread advertising (don't know if that's the right word) my study on MTURK! I'm in crunch time and I haven't gotten anyone to do the HITS! Does anyone know why I don't have access to post or could help me out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been snooping around this forum for a month, but I decided to join today and ask a question. But first, a serious thank you to all of the contributors of this forum. You have helped me make more than enough money for taking my wife out to eat. Without knowing it, you've really helped me. Thank you! My question is - Does anyone use a script or two for productrnr? I've found a script that selects non adult for all images, but I can't get it to work. These would really be great fillers if I could do them faster.
