In the RNR example if the turker gets lazy and misses a few adult ones then the script was directly responsible for the lower quality if he would've ticked them going the long route, so I never side against requesters who complain about even scripts that are enhancing the worker UI and not literally automating work. For the last point I disagree, scripting should be used for every HIT to optimize wages (I do myself), but I agree that it is 100% not cheating the system if you're reponsible
But turkers like me and turkortreat actually care about the quality of data so yeah it's giving us a leg up in HITs alotted but it doesn't deteriorate the quality. I acknowledge that we are taking an unproportianate amount of HITs compared to other turkers, but so many people use scripts that there's no way I would be complacent with a handicap, so to speak, by not scripting
Totally agree on the RnR script and relavancequest as well,as long as you are going back and checking your work,that is in no way cheating,it is being more productive,and saving the hell out of your wrist and hands.
Why not? If you were gonna select third bubble, second bubble, third bubble, and could do it faster for more money while the results are still third, second, third, then there's no reason not to
