Yes, but everyone likes it at the other place and they won't come back. I'm going to lose some good friends.
I felt the same. I'm so happy I got invited there but I am sporadically around due to work so chat won't work for me...I'll miss everything. I like to just pop in here when I have a free minute or two and read the posts when I can.
Yes, that's exactly how I feel. I'm only home right now because I had surgery but I'll be going back to work in a few days.
The forum is too great for them not to come back. It's like a drug. They'll return. Where else can we have little bits of drama, entertainment, HITs, jokes, GIFs, videos and hidden batch names all in one place in nice white format one at a time?
Woke up this morning to a text asking me to confirm account with a bank I don't even go with. Someone opened an acct under my name/info. Another identity theft I have to work with again. I had same issues 5 years ago. Filing police reports & checking my credit for any other activity. What a mess.
Hope you can get it straightened out without any problems. You've got enough going on with this place.
Sorry to hear that. Horror stories like that is why it amazes me that people will do some of the hits that they do (thinking of that $15 - give us your bank sign in info to test an app). Hope you get it straightened out but I hear that you still need to be careful/watchful for years. My employer's employee database was hacked so they provided everybody with identity theft monitoring services. From this, I learned that part of identity theft monitoring involves the monitor checking out underground dark-net sites where SSN's and info are sold to others.
I put a fraud alert on my credit reports. Says it's good for 90 days. I want to do a 7 year one but I have to file a police report first so I can get the report number needed to file the 7 year one. My credit report shows nothing so that's good. But who knows where else these fraudsters have opened an account with. 5 years ago they opened one on my name with Paypal. As a result, PayPal suspended my account. I was so distraught that time because it was the only way I made money doing eBay business. (before I found mturk) Like JAWN did, I emailed them everyday, went online to find various emails/numbers for PayPal I could find and one finally replied back to me willing to listen. They opened it because I submitted my police reports to them for proof. Without that I'd have been screwed.
I've had mine stolen only once and it was fairly painless to take care of but my son in law's was stolen and the people who stole it used it to start a business in So. America. He had a heck of a time getting it all straightened out.
This is important because the best identity thieves will collect the data and not use it for a long period of time. For them patience pays off big. Then, just when you think you're in the clear, 5 years from now, they hit you hard and you never see it coming.
