Agreed. Last night, I was so sick of them but forced myself to keep going (finally bailed at 3:00 am with 80K of them still up).
I was a bit tired of them too. But as far as a grind goes, at least they aren't mentally taxing. I hung around until they were done.
Yeah I don't know why they put up such huge batch so late at night when people are half dead doing them.
I don't mind the late hits. I'm in the Pacific timezone for another month. Plus I make most of my cash at night-- I don't do well in the morning.
Sometimes I really want to strangle software developers. My Chrome updated. The pointless cosmetic changes I expect periodically and can live with. But this time they managed to fuck up middle clicking on a link to open it in a new tab in the background. I am used to firing off a bunch of quick middle clicks on the accept link in scraper to grab a dozen HITs in a few seconds. Have tried it twice today and ended up with just a single HIT in a single new tab. Apparently you have to slow down to 1 click per second or so or Chrome just ignores you. Kinda defeats the purpose for me. They probably think they are "helping" me by ignoring "accidental" multiple clicks.
I hate Chrome updates. I noticed mine updated too. The only thing I've noticed is just the icons are smaller on the top task bar. I haven't noticed anything else yet because I haven't worked today or done anything yet.
Yeah, they seem to have made small changes to all the icons. My tabs and the bar up top are all grey now instead of blue. Little things. The scroll wheel doesn't work in one of my extensions. Endless little changes to mess up my workflow. Need to find a new way of quickly accepting HITs though, and then get used to doing it automatically instead of the middle click thing. Opening one and hitting F5 doesn't seem to work well for me, perhaps because my ISP is so slow. The middle click approach puts everything in separate tabs so they have time to load (although I often find multiple windows with the exact same HIT in them, like I've managed to accept the same HIT twice).
Does your Tampermonkey icon now have a number next to it? It didn't before the update. I see numbers in red next to the Tampermonkey icon. Didn't know what that meant then realized it means how many scripts are running at the moment.
Interesting, mine has always had the number next to it. The Tampermonkey icon seems smaller, but that is all.
Just checked, that is actually an option in tampermonkey itself. A little worrisome that a Chrome update can mess with options for extensions.
