I did about 20 yesterday evening, and it cut me off. Then, an hour later, I was able to do about 50 more and it cut me off again. 2 hours later, I was able to do 100 more.
I went to walmart to get a pc microphone... they didn't have any. I didn't think about asking for a webcam, not realizing that they usually have a mic built in. I looked on Amazon and ordered a webcam/mic for $3.68. It is good quality according to the reviews. Unfortunately it won't arrive from China until May 11th to the 30th, but the shipping was free, even without Prime. I'm just assuming that it is coming from China when it takes that long to ship.
I use the mic on my laptop and it works. Not sure if you need a headset because you're using a desktop that doesn't have a mic or you want better quality recordings, but I've never had an issue using the built in one on my computer before. It isn't the best quality at all, but I've never been rejected because of it.
I mean without giving anything away, I answered one way to a specific question near the end and then got the debrief, didn't say anything about being screened out. If that's the case and I received a rejection I will message the requester and explain the situation. If she decides her survey was formatted properly, then I'll eat the rejection. NBD but thanks for letting me/us know there might be a screener. I definitely can see where you're talking about.
Yeah, it mentioned in the HIT description that there was a screener and only those who qualified would be permitted to take the survey. I know most people don't read those giant walls of text. It really should be more clear if you get screened out though.

I mean, I got through like 5 or 6 pages of questions before the end. Weird. Thanks for the heads up though. I'm going to shoot her a preemptive message.
I wouldn't say mine was much longer, but it was at least 5 minutes. I felt like I got through it all, and my code was some screwy/generic file name. Maybe that's what pdrmturk meant and he misjudged the time.
Sent her this: Hello, I took your survey and it has come to my attention that I might have not possibly been able to do the entire survey. Possible survey content Spoiler There were a few sets of questions regarding personal inventory and attitudes, social media use and celebrities. After that I was sent to a page with the code I submitted. If this is a sign I was "screened out" I understand if you have to reject me. However, I must reiterate it's not a good practice to require an unpaid screener where we have to submit a significant amount of information without being compensated thusly. Bottomline: My intent was not to defraud you nor provide bad data. I would like to be transparent with this and hopefully come to a mutually satisfying resolution.
