That would be a positive step for sure. As long as they are making a play to increase work available, I can stomach a lot more workers being welcomed into the fold. Otherwise, it seems like they are just diluting the workforce by approving new workers en masse.

I think that's exactly it. Same way when some shitty masters batches don't get done, they'll dole out masters.
Yeah, I would hate it if they're being as simplistic as "zomg over 500K HITs up and they're not getting done, better flood the site with new workers!!!", when half of them are Scoutit garbage that none of the new people are gonna want to do either.
The curious thing to me is that workers in those countries mentioned are used to higher wages than what passes for 5/5 Pay around here. Not to mention the legal gray areas with independent contractors and benefits.
