Hooray! What kind? How old? You are brave. I don't think I could go the puppy route now that my kids sleep through the night. I can never go back to that level of responsibility :p

Goldendoodle - she's 13 weeks old and apparently just starting teething. Yay?!? She's the cutest thing ever though and even as I was laying awake next to her kennel all night long (apparently she had separation anxiety last night, or it could have been the fireworks) even though I was exhausted I couldn't help but smile at how cute she was. Like a big ol teddybear.

My kids are old enough that I totally expect them to help out with this, we'll see if that really happens.

    Aw. You are sweet. lol.

I never had the heart to let my kids cry and I know I would be the same way with a puppy. Ours came from the shelter already crate-trained, which was great because I don't have the backbone to do it, even though it's worth it!

Ph don't worry Ivy31, every state has it's downfall. Ohio has plenty of them; mostly Cleveland though.

Ours is meth and deep fried butter on a stick at the state fair. I'm actually not sure which is worse for your health.

Did you contact them? They sent out gift cards for the survey amount for the people who contacted them for a link.

Iowa has a meth problem? Weird. I always thought that was mostly the South like TN and FL.

Rural Iowa has a huge meth problem. For a while, it was the leader, but I think that's calmed down a bit (or just moved elsewhere). Illinois used to be horrible, but now it's heroin. It's very interesting (and super depressing) to see how different drugs move in and ruin a place in their own special way. :\

I love watching Drugs Inc. on National Geographic. They talk about just what you described. They even showed the crazy people who make it in their bathrooms LOL!

At the beginning of the meth epidemic, there was a very small town that banned adults riding bikes because they would have mobile meth labs in backpacks and ride around to dissipate the stench.

I would probably rather stay in a haunted house than a motel anywhere in rural America because those things are always exploding due to meth labs. Seems safer to deal with the ghosts :)
