Hello Buddies, Actually I am New to the forum and turking too. I am from India and tried to registered few years ago but amazon denied the registration at that time, but to my surprise I received e-mail on Wed, May 25, 2016 stating that You previously requested to join the Amazon Mechanical Turk marketplace. We are writing to provide an update on your request, and offer a way to get started immediately. And I joined the same day i.e. on may-25-2016. The e-mail also stated that If you’d like to get started immediately, we can offer you the ability to join the Amazon Mechanical Turk marketplace, but without the bank account disbursement option. This means that initially you will have the ability to transfer your earnings to your Amazon.com gift card balance. In the future, you may receive the option to transfer your earnings to a linked bank account. Right now I can see only one option to withdraw earnings i.e. Transfer to Amazon.com gift card. I don't want to use this option. Please tell me that how much time I will have to wait to show option of Bank account disbursement of earnings. I mean probably how many days or months they will take to initiate the bank account transfer for me. Any idea or guesses. Please reply.
One more query. I have read it in lots of forum that Amazon mturk is infamous for suspending accounts without any reasons. Is it safe to keep your hard earned money in mturk account. I mean if your account gets suspended they will also forfeit your money too. What should I do, I dont want to use Amazon.com transfer option.
I Am also having same doubt.. amazon.com gift card is of no use ..don't why mturk is offering such an option . Instead they should have provided amazon.in gift card . At least we should be able to buy something from it.
hi its the same story here...i have been working on mturk for the last 6 years plus and had the bank withdrawl option and everything was going on fine...one fine day it said incorrect password or id..i changed the password but captchas kept appearing...i have been writing mails to mturk for the last 2 months but no valid replies...it looks like they only have automated options to answer mails and no phone numbers to contact the customer service..I have done more than 5 lakh hits with a 99% approval rate..can anyone help me out how to restart my work again...
So sad to hear this. There are lots of Indians working for them, so they do not care and I think one should not expect much from turking because they can suspend your account any time they want. And I think this is why amazon will also degrading its reputation. They will have less shopper and more haters. But still it does not make a difference to them because of their size. Anyways can you share with me what type of hits you were doing mostly and any tips or secret hit (you can pm me). Thanks Akaash.
Hi, Have anyone got an option to transfer your earnings to bank account? I'm new to this forum. Even i don't have option to disburse my earnings to bank account? As all you joined more than 6 months ago do you have option now? Please post it here.
