    Hi everyone,

If over the past years you have done HITS for business card transcription (the ones that paid 6 cents originally and then went to 5cents) I can only introduce myself as the verifier. I verify all the work that you do.

I'm saddened to inform all of you that the owner of the business that had you doing the card transcription has passed away very suddenly due to natural causes. This is a great loss as he was a wonderful employer and person.

If, for some reason, you have HITs that have not been approved and paid yet please be patient. I've given all information to his family and they will, in due course after things calm down, contact Amazon Turk and make sure that all data entry people have been paid.

I will say, on Allen's behalf, that he truly appreciated all the work that everyone did. I know that he would want me to pass that on.

    Thank you!

I just started with Mturk today and started off with the business card hits. I am sorry for the loss and thank your boss for giving people a chance to work for him.

Very sad to hear this news.

Even though I haven't worked for Allen's hits it hurts my heart. We have lost a great requester in mechanical turk.

My hearty condolences for their family.

Thank you very much for the courtesy you shown on the workers and updating here.
