In my experience with those, it is best to return them. I got a rejection because I did the survey. I didn't particularly recognize it because I've easily done 1000+ surveys, but I did it twice and ended up rejected. I hate when it happens too. They really should all have a screener for that.
I typically avoid doing it again but I know I have done it sometimes and I can't recall ever getting a rejection. I guess it's up to you, on a slow day like this I would probably risk it.
