I thought about doing this but wasn't 100% sure what I should do about jobs I did last year that hadn't paid and people mentioned how Mturk post the numbers so just decided to wait for that and trust Amazon to tell me how much I was supposed to claim.
Well even with a regular job... you do work that you don't get paid for until January. But you don't count those just because you did the work in Dec. ykwim? It's money received. Not work done.
Its different for contracting work, its everything you did in 2014, it will appear on your dashboard soon and it will count everything that you did in 2014 including what had not been paid yet.

I got it from doing a HIT back in November that paid $0.00 plus a bonus for every correct response. It's one of those "be in the right place at the right time" kind of things that are very common on Mturk. I got lucky. Edited: I checked my HIT DB and it was November.
Yeah it may seem like that because this is your first year, but next year it will show 2 years under your total earnings "Total Earnings Show earnings details" You click "Show earnings details" and it will show you each years earnings. Its like with W2's they have 30 days so it will change in a few days to that. Also people who make more than 20K are supposed to get a 1099.
