Unfortunately I use chrome so not sure about Firefox. On Chrome page monitor is an extension that will give you an alert when a page changes. So for mturk we can search for a requester and monitor that page and whenever that requester post a hit page monitor will alert you so you can do the hit. You can change the amount of time between it checking pages. I'm sure there is a similar extension on Firefox but not sure if it would be called the same thing. Hopefully someone can come along and fill in any of the details I might have missed.
