why do so many people around here return things if they don't get a code? I submit things all the time even if they don't give me a code and i've never once had even one rejection because of that
I dunno about this, I mean, yeah, you should submit, but you will still get rejections. We had a round of them today, that were later reversed, but I bet if we hadn't raised a stink the rejections would have stuck. Nikki's idea is nice, though. "No code + <mturk id>" is probably as best as you can do.
Same here. If I've done the work, I'm going to submit the HIT. Most of the time I'll send a note but sometimes I'll just enter my ID in the HIT window and put in a comment if there is space. Never had a rejection for no code.
Ah, yes! Thanks! I forgot about it being in my queue. I knew about clicking on the HIT, but I kept trying to click on the blue box on the MTurk survey page and it wasn't working too well. lol D'oh! Anyway, I've emailed her. We'll see if she gets back to me. The timer is running on it, though, and I will just go ahead and submit with my i.d. number and hope for the best if she doesn't get back to me soon.
The only time I've ever been rejected for this was yesterday with that hips don't lie hit and this one just now. The one from yesterday was reversed and hopefully this one is also, it's not so much about the dollar, and it didn't take long, but I still gave her free data.
Exactly. We did the work and we should get freakin' paid for it. It's not like just one or two of us didn't "see" the code - there was NO CODE.
That's what annoyed me the most. I knew I did the freaking work and it boils my blood that I was rejected after DOING the work.
I always copy the url from the page where the code should have been and have never been rejected. Its hard to argue with something like that they should be able to check. If it seems especially shady(like this one) I take a screenshot of the page.
The updated TO shows more rejections from her. I'm returning it. She is not responsive to emails which is not a good sign.
Well, a little over three minutes left on the timer. I'm going to go ahead and submit with my worker number and hope for the best. Maybe by now she's figured out there's a problem and will go ahead and accept and also reverse the rejections she's already handed out. Fingers crossed (what fingers I have left, anyway - lol)..........
