if you are gonna have a qual test for a hit at least post it every week. The point of having a test is to see who is best at doing the hits and if someone fails they are not granted the qual. Everyday more and more people join mturk so its only fair for the comers to have a shot at making 20-100 dollars a day as well. productRnR stop posting and i cant tell when last i made over 20 bucks for the day because all the batches i see require a qual that was posted some long time ago an not again. messed up if you ask me.
Yeah I got lucky that I started working on TOTW when they first posted. Then they started with the qualifications I only had a 50 because I only had 300 or so done and they gave people who had a 1,000 + hits done the 100 qualification. Once I hit around the 900 hit mark I got bumped up to the 100 qual.
Hey, here in my apartment I can hear Paul McCartney rehearsing for this weekend's Outside Lands Festival. Usually the sound bounces around too much for me to be able to really hear music from the park. This is a nice change.
WARNING: THIS HIT IS A TRAP, AVOID AT ALL COSTS Title: Tag Visually indistinguishable types of cars Requester: Vision Group [A2AM5ULTPDZBG8] (TO) Description: Specify whether the examples of cars shown look visually the same or not Reward: $0.05 Qualifications: HIT approval rate (%) is not less than 95 Link: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=2TO02AOO2GMPWMXEP9JCV6IBJ5U55E Powered by non-amazonian script monkeys End Warning Seriously guys.. don't fall for it, you'll get minimally 10% rejected, possibly 50%+. He reduced my rejects from 15/30 to 8/30 after lots of complaining and reporting him to Amazon.. stil pretty bad. Oh, but if you dare - it's an auto-reject if you do it under 60 seconds.
How come Masters wasn't handed out today? o: Going to try one just because I haven't done any HITs for that requester.
This. I have totw and I got lucky. Its just the way the world works. You dont join a job and get paid big bucks the first day. You dont join a job the day after employee of the month is crowned and complain that you werent on the list for it. Shit happens.
TOTW question: If there is NO official website/FB page, I see it says to add the URL to the GOOGLE search results. Is this what they mean? https://www.google.com/search?q=Joy's Cafe+Cookeville+TN
Revert to 22. Actually there is a shield by the address bar you need to click that and allow the mixed content. This is a problem with turk though as many hits like TOTW will have a blank Iframe because it's "mixed" content. This almost pissed me off enough to switch to chrome but I just reverted to FF22 instead. See you can allow it for that one page(one hit) but not the whole site so every hit you will need to allow it again(really sucky for doing batches).
They aren't. MedCrowd gives you specific limits for how far into Google you need to look for the URL - 20 results. There are two search links. I do tweak the search on the second link if necessary, otherwise I let it go. When I discussed it with them at one point awhile back, they told me if if it was so obscure it didn't show up in those first 20 results it's as good as not being there. I set up dual browser windows, drag each link into the second browser, scan (I have my search set to 20 for those so I don't need to switch pages). If you find a result, it's not difficult to go to the page and verify. With a good rhythm going, it's close to the 10 cent per minute minimum that's talked about here.
Maybe they have a really huge list of people to put through so it's going to take them a few days to get them ready.
Thats what I do. And a yelp page saying closed isnt official, cause I know I saw that earlier. If you find no info, link the google search. Whichever you used.
I have no idea whether or not this has already been discussed or not. A few weeks ago, people were talking about Darwin's Data. While I signed up and, a few minutes ago, finished a survey. I was alerted by email that a survey was available on a first come first serve basis. It paid $25 for approximately 45 minutes. I am just throwing this out there to let people know that if they signed up, it might be a good idea to check your email
I have done 3 at some point, and were approved. But must not have been these because it was only .03 for all 3 hits.
I only had the URL qualification. When I first stumbled onto Medcrowd, I don't think they were doing the other types of HITs at all, so that's all that was around.
