well i used to get a lot less than $40 in my home country, so it looks kinda good to me, but because i have a lot of time i want more, i think my problem is that i work only on whats on this forum, if someone here says its good, i`ll do it. when i tried to do something by myself i got like 20cents for 20 minutes. i think i just suck at this turking thing, but its my only income for now so i have no other choice. over 15k sub and i`m still making the same amount like 1k
It's really frustrating some times, making so much less. I know that a ton of it is motivation...despite having nothing but time, I can rarely bring myself to turk more than an hour at a time. I've been doing this for years, even got Masters last year, but there are even times when I'll check my Scraper, run TM, check the boards, and there's seemingly nothing going on. I don't know if it's just about getting those tips from people about batches that you might miss, but a lot of the time I'll either come back after giving it 10-15 minutes (after checking everything), and a big batch has *just* flown by. Or there's a new requester, but they already gave out their quals and it's closed tight. I'm on every day, and I always seem to miss most things. Again, I *know* that a big part of it is drive. Depression and self-hatred do a lot to kill that motivation, which in turn feeds those things again when I don't get much done, and it keeps cycling. I get that that's a big part of it. I just wonder if I'm missing something that others get, sometimes. Also, having a single-monitor setup doesn't help. Having a 16:10 monitor and using NiftySplit helps a bit, but it would be so much easier to get things done with a 2-3 monitor setup.
Sorry but How can You ever think to make any actual money if that's all You do, I really like the forum and have nothing bad to say but If I want to make money everyone know's it's all in the scraper's . . . . The fact You don't leave them to run 27 is just telling . . . .
I don't know how these guys can talk about getting better than minimum wage. I astound myself if I can get something like $9 a hour by REALLY ROCKING OUT on a good batch, but that's really rare. Usually I reach my $10 a day minimum goal by freaking GRINDING OUT on these bulk batches like ProductRNR or something like that. Geez. I know, I know, most of the big earners get it by having Masters and closed quals, but still... geez.
when i activate the scrapper i always get this "You have exceeded the maximum allowed page request rate for this website."
Because not all of us Rely 100 percent on mturk so we diversify our portfolio and turk when we fell it's worth doing, try having Your hit scaper only tell You when there is a actual hit worth turking for, now times that by 4 machines, good hit's do come in all day . . . .
So you're using four separate Mturk accounts? Or you're splitting the workload for Scraper/TM between four? And that's definitely not normal, using four *machines*.
What are You talking about I use my account and run hit scaper on diffrent intervouls . . . .on diffrent machines on my account
