I was pretty cranky with turking tonight, as I took a survey and got all the way to the end of the demographics when I got a message that I had been rejected from the hit for missing an AC - I was (and always do) actually pay close attention to surveys -so I felt pretty ripped off. Then I got a rejection for retaking a screener survey - that had listed in the body of the screener the original date that it had been posted. I had searched on that date and I didn't see the requester so I took the screener and got rejected for redoing it. Of course after digging I found I took it the day after the date listed in the survey. Happy ending though - I wrote the requester a really nice email and explained my mistake and also what it means for us to get rejections, and she responded right away and said she would reverse the rejections for me - and "all the others". Woo hoo. Laina Bay-Cheng was the requester. Maybe I should just call it a day after this small victory.
Does anyone here use their (computer) mouse without resting their hand on the table? I have done some research and it looks like that will stop my wrists from hurting, but it is REALLY hard to move it around quick like that. My turk is gonna slooow down, but I hope not 4eva.
I am hoping it took me at least 10 minutes, I was so stoked to scoop that up that I submitted and completely forgot about the "if you submit before 10 minutes" bit Whoooopsee it'll be a $3.00 mistake I'll never make again.
It took me a long time to get used to using a mouse that way :| but I would wake up in the middle of the night with awful cramps in my wrist..I've gone back to my old ways mostly, but I'm not on the computer as much anymore. It's not so hard, just kicking a habit, I used a desk with a pull out and just hung my wrist off the edge until I got used to it.
