Anyone have issues with chrome reloading tabs automatically in the background. Ie, if they are dormant, when you click on them to look at the tab they auto-reload.
People see big pay and think for some reason it's gonna be better than any other hit on Mturk, but the vast majority of hits paying double digits or higher end up paying just as crappily as the average batches and surveys, with the exception of certain transcript requesters and data collection hits if you can script and the data collection can be automated. Also these are absolute crap unless you have a way of enlarging the iframe that the task is embedded in.
I missed the high paying hits from Monday. Since it sounds like some of you may not do yours, anyone have any pandas? Thanks
Me too. I can't find anything online about it. I thought it might be a memory thing but don't think that's it. I'm using XP still and keep getting notes that chrome isn't going to be updated anymore on that. I'm real hesitant to switch to 10. Are you still on xp or vista or something?
ha, yes. I always laugh when people post "I wish I caught that 300.00 hit that I just saw on scraper!!!" because I'm sitting here thinking "A 300.00 hit. It probably requires 30000 emails being found." and don't even try to catch those. I assume they suck. lol
Hmm. That is weird. Glad I don't have to switch now, but damn this is really fcking annoying. Not sure how to fix it.

yep, I usually end up returning most other high paying hits because they're like $10 per 1 hour of audio. Or find 1000 emails for $20 setting this hit up in the iframe was the worst idea ever.
https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2015/09/tab-discarding?hl=en It used to be an optional feature, but it's enabled by default in the latest Chrome version
the new tab discarding/management in Chrome. You can turn it off by going to: chrome://flags/#automatic-tab-discarding and choose disable
Well of course, but if you ever decide to, 7 is your best bet. I upgraded to 10 a while back and I completely lost the functionality of my trackpad, and for whatever reason I couldn't get alt/tab to work, either. I'm not advanced enough to figure out how to downgrade back to 7 on it so I just junked the laptop.
