I wonder if there is anything I can do to make noblis images load faster or if its serverside? Anyone else have to wait several seconds between images when your marking boxes? It even takes the box a second or two to turn green once I've clicked it..?
I don't get much of a delay. Once in a while a pic will take a second or two to load. Not really sure if it's server side or not, but if you get it a lot, it could be stuff you have running on your system. I notice if I am running a fast AA on Firefox it can make the interaction with the hit stutter a little, most likely because of how many scripts are running on mturk pages, which includes the hit as well as the panda tab. That would cause a delay with interaction, but wouldn't affect the pictures loading much.
Ok, interesting. I do notice the same thing with having panda's running that seem to slow things down. I can barley do one of .18 in a minute. I feels kinda sticky like maybe its all the extentions and scripts running. I'm going to try one in a browser with no add ons real quick and see..
I rarely do 1 second pandas, but if I need them for hits like Noblis where accidental double clicking due to input lag can make me skip a picture or something, I'll run the panda in Chrome, which has no scripts installed, and it seems to work fine then.
yeah just tested it out in firefox with no extensions or scripts, they did load faster. Must just be chrome bogged down and being temperamental with Noblis hits
