It kind of does. Don't take that shit from people. If they are flakes, write them off and move on. Take it as a learning experience. I don't know how close you are to a major city, but that could help expand your dating pool. Also, if you are still dealing with depression issues, it might be better to take the time and work on yourself before trying to find someone. Easier said than done, I know quite well. Most of us need companionship and going without can exacerbate depression.
