Thanks for the feedback. I have had a hard time qualifying people for this reason :(

The task does have long instructions and a lot of fields (only ~4 will be filled out), but after you do 2 or 3, they will become relatively easy and lucrative once speed increases.

There is training for the earnings task, which will also help.

I figured you were probably having some trouble getting people to work them. Have you thought about separating the hits down into smaller clusters instead of asking the workers to find 18 different pieces of information in each hit? Not even sure if it's possible.

I actually really want to work on those OCMP39's, but like others have said, it's kind of intimidating. If it's slow today then I'll try to just buckle down at some point and see if I can figure it out.

I'm looking at one right now and the instructions are very confusing to me. You say that we won't mark many fields, but then you say that it should be easy to find diluted and basic for each field? I think I'm having the most problems with basic vs. diluted and when to really mark something as N/A.

This is a line from your instructions of adjusted eps "Reported net income was $0.85 per share and adjusted net income, excluding restructuring and other infrequent expenses, was $1.18 per share for the fourth quarter of 2014. The answer is 1.18." But what answer is 1.18? Is it adjusted eps basic or adjusted eps diluted and how do you know?

Sorry - these do seem pretty intimidating.

This. I've done hundreds of the other ocmp39 hits, but I have no idea what these acronyms mean. I'd love to do them, but I can't figure them out like I could the dividends.

Maybe explain what the abbreviations mean?

@All thanks for the responses. Sounds like I may have to break them up into small tasks. If anyone wants to try to do all 11, I can give a small bonus for additional feedback.

@Major05 - I see the problem in the instructions here. I am missing a line. I should have also written "If the paragraph does not distinguish between basic and diluted, the number is diluted."

That is a good idea for the instructions.

EPS stands for "Earnings per Share" and is the amount of money a company made after subtracting expenses for the quarter. Because the number is on a per share basis and there are usually millions of shares, the number will usually range from -$5 to $5.

FFO means pretty much the same thing, but is used by real estate companies.

If EPS is not listed in the release, it may also appear as "earnings" or "earnings per share." Does that make sense?

Also the instructions for the revenue section at the end are vague. Does revenue include sales, profit, or income? The only word you use in the instructions is revenue - if it's listed as anything else in the report do we just put n/a?

Even if you have to only fill out 4-6 of the 18 spaces you still have to spend the time looking for the 18 items? Or are there different groups in there? It may very well pay off, but if I have to spend two hours studying and not doing other stuff...

It will either be listed as "Revenue" or "Sales". If those don't show up, select "N/A"
