We have to deal with these BIG gun no dick cops here in the Carolinas that seem to have this same mentality, beat you, shoot you, make it look like it was your fault, shit gonna get really real when people can't take this abuse anymore and fight back...
Oh, I understood what you were saying. I guess it just aggravates me. So many of these things aggravate me at this point. I am shocked when anyone goes to prison at this point. As obvious as all of this is, I am not entirely certain that this officer won't get away with it. And all people usually get is what is in the media. If you get your hands on the discovery in a lot of these cases, you will find that there was a lot of misinterpretation of the fact, if not outright lies by the reporters. I have an entire side of my family that are nothing but officers in NY. With proper training, having to fire their weapon would be nearly unheard of. My kid's grandfather retired from the NY City Police Department after nearly 35 years and fired one shot his entire career, and it was deliberately non-lethal. I can't count the number of cousins and uncles that are in the same department and none of them have ever had to kill anyone.
I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that. :/ It's really sad to hear about, though. I have a lot of friends from high school and such that are in places like that and I just want to house them all up here where they won't get killed.
no tazer attempt, no mace attempt, hey fucker cop, how bout a warning shot in the air, or maybe a non lethal wound to the leg to knock him down instead of putting him down 6 feet under... I have no feelings for cops these days, even tho there are a few good ones left...
It's really disgusting and disturbing is what it is. They not only need training, but an emphasis on using tazers before guns. Psychology tests before hiring. Yearly situational training, even.

I wasn't going to get into the race issue, but I have spent the last 5+ months primarily in SC, and I really worry that this guy will walk just based on where they are. And the BIG gun no dick part is exactly what I am talking about when I mentioned training above.
In the article I read it said there was another cop there as well and neither of the two cops attempted to perform life-sustaining measures on him while the ambulance was on its way. Granted, he had been shot 8 times and it's very unlikely to have made any difference, but they could have at least tried.
