I use Mturk Time tracker instead. Simpler maybe you just click the start when you start working and click stop when your done. So for a batch you can run it through say 10+ hits then stop and see the hourly and decide if it's worth it.

Don't think contacting amazon will make any difference whatsoever. There have been tons of mass rejections before. Amazon will just reply with a generic email. The best thing you can do is politely contact the requester and explain how devastating mass rejections can be for turkers. Hopefully the requester will realize it and reverse. In worst case, don't forget there is always a positive side.may be it will motivate you to improve your numbers in the future. You can look at beactivelife for inspiration.

WHat this does is take all the hits you done all in the day and give you a "score" of how you did. $/per time. I think that's super neat.

Yeah sounds neat but not neat enough for me to bother with. Long as I know what I'm making on what I am doing at the time that's what matters to me.

To be fair, some of the #s people were quoting for Cestas were so high that there's no way they were doing the HITs legitimately.

Don't feel too bad, I have like 6,800 rejections lol

    edit: Not from CESTA, lifetime.

I want to be the first turker to 10,000 rejections. Like George Blanda holding the all-time interception record...

lol if you accept a hit and return it it lowers your hour rate. That's amazing.

Can I pause it whenever I'm on here waiting for batches? Seems like it would underestimate otherwise...

edit: then again, looking/waiting for hits is part of the work process...

It uses the database to see what hits you used and accepted and how long it took you. SO it noticed that I picked up the hit and when I returned it. Kinda neat. Kinda bad too with returns BUT it is part of the process.

As a rule of thumb I try to steer clear of subjective batches with long AA

Did you break that rule with Cesta? Can't tell if that's a lifetime number or not...

Nah. 90% of my rejections are from when I first started with a requester that wanted Craft Fair listings. I screwed up a bunch of them (according to them). I've gotten the rest of my rejects (about 100 or so in the past year).

    I remember those...those craft hits were .25 or .30 a pop, right?

Yep. I must've written about the mass rejections on here because like a year after they happened they PMed me on here and wanted to see about reversing them but it was too long ago to have that happened.

edit: From May of this Year

Gotta give em credit for trying to make things right at least but it really doesn't matter at this point. I probably only had a 1000 or so approved at that time now I'm near 200k.

Hate to break it to you, but that was just me on a phony account trolling you....

    (pregnant pause)

    Just kidding!

I'd hire you to reverse these CESTA rejections...you are persuasive!
