We have a raccoon moseying around the neighborhood every night, and raccoon chortles can sound friggin' evil. They echo because of the way the houses are. Then the crepe myrtle in the yard imitates that chortling sound with a stuttering creek whenever the wind blows just right. And then when dawn comes around and some of the birds make similar sounds... something about that repetition wigs me out just a little.

Ugh. I remember one time when I lived in NC, I had some big time anxiety going on, and my roommates left me alone for a few days in a big 5 bedroom ranch style house. At night, I was so freaked out by myself I sat on the couch and hardly moved, just terrified. And one stormy night I kept hearing loud noises outside the living room window's, in the driveway. It took everything I had to go outside without peeing myself, and it was stupid raccoon's getting into the garbage.

Here in Reno there's raccoon's around, not a ton, but the damn things are HUGE and vicious. And they don't chortle, they stand up and hiss at you.

 

So someone just asked me in email, who won the superbowl the packers? lmfaoooo
