I just did a bunch of those Anthony Nuncio Find the UPC of the given product hits and got 8 rejected. The excuse is poor quality.I already emailed asking for a reversal on them.I would be careful with these everyone.
This one is paying quickly. If you haven't done it yet, I would highly recommend checking to see if he is still up. I just did this one not to long ago (within the last 45 minutes) and the payment and bonus was already approved.
How do you get a reversal for something they believe was in your error? I'm pissed because I had a perfect rating prior to Ladan's music hits. Seems to be ignoring my emails. I've done super complex surveys with tons of attention checks, tons of different transcripts with different guidelines for format, and I get rejected by cheap penny hits.
How likely would that be if you pester them over it? lol I saw Amazon now has a built-in reversal option but after reading the instructions, it seems to reversal is to actually pay the worker for their work after making a mistake.
I actually had gotten a rejection and asked for a reason why very nicely. No response and not only did I get a rejection but got a hard block with amazon! So I don't even try anymore, I have heard 3 hard blocks and you can't work anymore on Turk....
That's odd. I've done about fifteen of them, and they were all approved almost immediately. No problems.
That sucks. There was no way for you to contact Amazon to investigate? Seems unfair for them to block without first investigating what happened. I really don't want to think that I'm at risk of being blocked due to an error that the requester made.
My friend that turks a lot on here and several other people told me not to bother with it, Amazon wont do anything. I was really upset with it and felt a little deterred to even do anymore....at least for that day...I am so afraid now when I do hits and never want to contact requesters anymore.
Not gonna happen. The fact that requesters can reject work for whatever reason they want is very much by design. If you look on the requester site Amazon uses it as a major selling point for the service. They pitch mTurk as being risk-free for requesters because requesters don't have to pay for any work they deem unacceptable for any reason.
Doesn't hurt to try. If nothing happens, at least you tried... I have ~2300 approved and 7 rejections. 4 of those are from my first two days of turking when I flew through surveys and missed ACs. 1 is from a survey where they rejected me for missing an AC even though I do them 100% legit after those first two days. I tried to get it reversed, but to no avail. I DID get 4 separate rejections reversed, however- simply by being polite and contacting the requester. Delf reversed two that were my fault, which I even admitted and just asked for mercy. Another got reversed as it was a bogus rejection to begin with for a survey that I supposedly didn't answer questions to. The last was a 3 minute transcription that I thought I did a great job on, but the requester didn't agree... Simple e-mail and it got switched. The point is that you may as well try. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Rejections can really fuck you over, especially when your approved hit # is low as a noob. Mass rejections are even worse... Two rules which I ALWAYS FOLLOW after seeing people get mass rejections: 1) Don't spread your mturk livelihood too thin. Do 10-20 hits on new requesters or on HITs which you aren't too sure you're doing correctly. If they get accepted, GREAT, do 20 more. Do it a few times until you feeling comfortable to do 100+ at a time. Don't jump on any huge batches to get numbers up if you are unsure about the requester. Those quick .02 cent HiITs may be appetizing, but if you get a mass rejection you're in way worse shape. 2) Don't be afraid to ASK FOR CLARIFICATION. If you get rejected, ask why- POLITELY. People are way more receptive to friendly worker than a mad one. Save your anger for the TO if it comes to that. Don't be afraid to ask for a reversal! Remember, you don't have anything to lose- except a rejection! /rant
Exact same thing happened to me a week or two ago. I tried to reason with him about it in email, and he replied quickly, but nothing ever came of it. edit: gonna pm you about your bot question.
I would agree with everything you said, but you saying that there is nothing to lose is not right. I rather keep my rejection than get a hard block again and risk chances of not being able to work on here. Just because of previous exp. But that is what I had gotten when I was so friendly and polite about asking what I did wrong...
That's really sad. I'm going to have to tread lightly, but I've already sent 3 very polite emails, only one of which they responded to, and suddenly I'm potentially sitting at 20 rejections. The funny thing is, the one I contacted them on because I admitted an error, they have yet to reject, but the other ones I've been submitting correctly are all getting rejected. This just means I'm sticking to mainly the writing jobs and skipping over these mass HIT-building ones. I don't understand how my feedback about their audio format turns into a "you're experiencing technical issues, rejected" when the very nature of their audio is clipping two tracks together and having them cut in and out of each other. Thanks, your post calmed me down quite a bit. I actually worked my ass off through my first 10 days because I was afraid that 6 HITs I did (that I didn't know were majority rules) were going to get rejected. So I powered through bunch of surveys and a LOT of transcripts to get to 700 HITs only to find that those 6 were actually approved. For Ladan's I was only able to do 5, one of which they misinterpreted feedback and the other I outright told them was an erroneous submission. When he asked to do more to make up for the one I messed up on, they rejected them all. I only have a single one approved from them and I think I'm waiting on like, 13 more, which I'm sure will be rejected like the other 5, even though I filled those out the same way I did the first accepted one. I originally did the additional HITs to show that I appreciated his effort to help me out, but these reasons he's giving me for rejection are ridiculous.
