Just wanted to drop my first reply here since I found this forum this weekend. I only found out about mturk last week and was approved on Friday. I've made about 19 dollars since then and am trying to find good HITS. This forum, particularly this type of thread, are invaluable for me as a new user and I can't thank you all enough for posting these. I mostly do these at work and we are on a firewall, so unfortunately a decent amount of them are blocked. But when I do get one that makes it past, I am incredibly grateful. Keep it up, and I promise to contribute more as the weeks go by. Thanks everyone!
I was about 60 percent done with this survey, I clicked to go to the next page and it tossed me totally out and back to the Mturk dashboard where it told me there are no hits available. WTF? did that happen to anyone else?

Just a hint for you. I am at work and have been watching the Turk Alerts sent to my work email. Set Masters seem to always show up around 10:02 AM EST. They have for the past three days. And now you know. You can wait and salivate for them.
Did anyone sign up to watch a podcast tomorrow at like 1pm eastern time? Pays $6 If so, did you save the link to the survey and everything? I copied it and saved it, but the file didn't save correctly. Please respond with the details or PM them to me. Thank you! Nevermind: I emailed the requester and he responded within 3 minutes, wow!
Can people actually "make a living" off Mturk? Or is this more of a part time or extra spending money per month thingamajig?

Extra spending money, you will still need a job. The earning can be good but not good enough to support a family.
I guess that depends on how much money you need in order to live. I'm sure some people (single, no debt, lives with parents, etc) are capable of it.
