The hint: they're not really looking for your opinion. Whomever they're collecting this "research" for plans to hit a bunch of businesses that do social media advertising by showing them the inadequacy of their current facebook marketing campaigns, and will use the dubious collection of evidence we're providing them as the hook. Once you get the whole "They want me to rate these things low" aspect of it, go hog wild and earn your cash!

Hahaha! I don't mind selling my opinions out as long as I sort of know why, and know it's anonymous...
On these hits would they penalize you for putting other for most all of them? I am not doing it to be lazy either. My reason for disliking these ads is just because 90 percent of them are visually unappealing as a whole. The image doesn't really go with the product and they are often shared links from other websites being shared on facebook which just doesn't strike me as a professional advertisement. Unfortunately this isn't one of their predetermined reasons. Edit: I am referring to the crowd flower advertising batch. I though I quoted someone, but I guess I was mistaken.

I have got to get this 95% approval rate back, missing out on so much. I've got 2x more pending HITs than approved ones, heh
As someone who is fairly new to the forum, I am not sure what the "protocol" is. I usually hit the thanks button for hits that I am able to complete. Should I be thanking for all of them regardless of whether I am able to do the hit or not? I certainly appreciate all the posts (even the ones I miss out on). Just not sure what to do and was kind of winging it.
I'm also fairly new. What I can say is this: I don't remember seeing any of naisybee's posts yesterday. I do know that I try to thank folks who post good hits I've done. I don't necessarily thank folks who post stuff I haven't done. Sometimes I miss. Sometimes I don't. Perhaps different times of day on the board carry different vibes. What I would say is this: if you ever post a HIT here, you should feel an implied gratitude of the community. Some folks may expressly thank you. Many of them won't. Just remember, though...it's the internet. It's still a fairly anonymous community of folks, and whether folks click the "thanks" button or not is probably not a good indicator to use as a barometer of your self worth.
I don't think reputation or the amount of 'thanks' add or subtract from the amount of HITs anyone can do and we're all here for the HITs. Another concern about meaningless internet points...
I'm really new here and I mostly just thank people who posted good hits that were worth it that I could actually do. I don't think people should just be here posting a ton of hits they haven't even done that could be like 30mins for 50 cents that just floods the forum and if I want to take chances on random hits I'm not sure about I'll just use the search on mturk. I come to find tested good hits, and I only post good hits with the time they took after I've already did and tested them myself.
Typically when I catch a hit I open it in a new tab - when I finish my hit and come back to this page, and it's at the place where I left off at and I "Thank" the person who submitted the hit more often than not. Only time my thanks really slips through the cracks are when there are a lot of hits up and I'm in a frenzy trying to get them all done. I wasn't around beyond yesterday morning though, but personally I like a lot of hits put in to one post all neatly and organized. Not sure why someone would have the nerve to complain when you're pointing your finger in the direction of money for them.
