Acme_247 is an interesting fellow. He puts up a bunch of batches of like 100-150 nickel Google hits that are all duplicates for no particular reason, puts in a little line of text in the preview that says 1 hit per person, and then mass rejects everyone that doesn't notice and does more than 1 hit. Glad I was paying attention, but wtf.
Title: Story game Requester: Paul [A1SLKSERKZOSFE] (TO) Description: Quick survey Reward: $0.60 Qualifications: HIT approval rate (%) is not less than 90, Location is US Link: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=2593XERSQV66GHIE5CUH0WB2LKF91Q Powered by non-amazonian script monkeys Took me 19 minutes instead of 15 like it said, but I guess I am slow.
Weird, it didn't ask me to install anything. Their TO is good, but not sure it would ask you to install something and not me.
It doesn't ask you to install the first time. If you are approved, they send out an e-mail saying that you can continue to the $1.50 part. Then you have to install an app called Meep on your Android phone and complete a task. I did that part last night. Made me nervous to install also, but it hasn't caused any problems. Some people may not like the permissions it asks for and the data it draws from your phone (search history, even though it says that data isn't saved after exiting app).

Requestors can hard block over anything, it's not something worth carrying around. "You shouldn't protest to some guy for pushing you around. If you do, he might shoot you." Not the way to live life man.
You do?! Sheesh I didn't know that. Thankfully I have zero, but yeah, not worth it. ANYONE CAN REJECT ME FOR ANY REASON! I'll allow it.
I'm taking the qualification test now (the 15 hits) does anyone know how hard it is to pass? Are they really strict? PLEASE HELP.
Tempt who; you're talking about imagined demons. The vast majority of people are not malicious. If they understand that their decision affects you negatively in a way unforeseen by them, they are more than likely going to reconsider. I understand that hard blocks happen and am not a righteously indigent person, but going around towing the line out of fear is just sad. Edit: As a follow-up this requester did send me an email informing me that they overturned the rejection. I told them I was sorry if they had incomplete data for some reason and would gladly retake the same HIT again for free if they reposted it.
