Does anyone else notice that CrowdFlower HITs where you identify if a business is listed seems to be wrong on a lot of their test questions. I know I'm clicking the link, it's saying no hits, so I select no, and they go "oh, that should have been a yes". Am I doing something wrong or have others noticed the same problem?

Usually chrome, since I accidentally permanently enabled TOR
on my Firefox, and now it randomly reroutes my through somewhere
in Europe or east Asia and it's too slow for regular browsing.

Is there any good add-on to firefox that relates?

I mean...I guess that's fairly typical. I would definitely consider myself an enthusiast though. I wish I got those HITs earlier so I could sooner afford some newer equipment.

I really try to avoid CrowdFlower because of this, their automated QC is just not very good.

Yeah, there's an add-on for Firefox called No Script. Basically it disables any kind of scripting done through the website, unless enabled by you. It's kind of a pita at first until you get all your normal sites trusted and for doing surveys it won't be very useful, but as far as doing regular surfing and going to strange sites you're not sure about, it's pretty awesome.

FWIW, I am an IT professional and I use MSE -- `course I run a PIX AND a layer 5/layer 7 firewall too -- not to mention the fact that I do all my surfing in a mounted VM...so I might be the wrong person to ask.

    ----Off the wall question

I had an issue with a Hit yesterday. I completed it and the hit itself vanished. doesnt appear on my dashboard at all so i spent all day trying to find thier contact information yesterday with no luck. Eventually I went through help desk on turk and they got me the contact info and the requester has gotten back to me.

they are more then willing to pay me for the hit but dont know how because my submission isnt listed (it vanished). They tried to create my own hit just for me which didnt work. tried giving me a bonus and didnt work. Anyone have any suggestions for me/them ?

It's hard to recommend a solution like MSE to the average home user. It's not built to be efficient or lenient on resources. And as you mentioned, most people don't have an actual security grid in their homes. :p

The only reason we can get away with Trend is because we have the rest of the infrastructure to make it worthwhile and if we get an infection we just image the machine (Yay for terminal servers).

This happened to me today on a 5.00 survey and I can't figure out how to contact the requester. It just dissapeared while I was in the middle of it. Totally weird!

For some of us, there is a very blurry line between "job" and "hobby."

Noticed the same thing here so I quit doing them. When they would say it seems some of your work isn't what we expected I would always choose the the question isn't fair option and copy and paste the no search results in the box. I did that about 5 times and quit...haha :)

Could it have been a time out? This happened to me on a survey where they didn't give enough time to do it.
