It does get better after everything seems to fall apart. 5 Years ago I was being left by the love of my life for another woman he had gotten pregnant and being deported from a country I had invested upwards of 100k in... Still working my way out of that hole but it does get better.
Man... that's rough. I know that feeling. Except I'm kind of young, and it's just been my little lady and I for the last eight years, so I have no idea what to do. But I commend people like you for dealing with this extremely hard experience... you and your wife both. I'm glad there are people like you out there that have experienced these things... but I sincerely hope you use this as motivation to spread knowledge on the subject. Too many of us are under-educated on these things. If only I had known more, maybe I could have dealt with the situation better. That's what I keep saying. But what I hang on to is what I've learned, and regardless of whether or not I get her back one day, I swear to god I'll spend the rest of my life educating people on mental diseases.
There might be updates but it's not going to be a big kash flood like it has been. Batch requesters come and go.
What you're dealing with will tell you everything you need to know. It's a tough one to educate people on, there still is a stigma attached to it. I hear a lot of people mention BP now. Hell, I hear a lot of people here referring to themselves as "aspies" because they feel they have it. :\ Dealing with BP was rough, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. The only reason I stayed with the mrs to be was that I loved her and whatever happened outside of our little bubble was nothing. My family is screwed up too (haven't seen them in a while) so it's just us. Crap happens, we can only learn from it and move on. Hoping not to make the same mistakes over and to go lightly on people.
Richard... thank you. You are a goddamn wonderful person. I swear, five bucks means the world to me. All four of you... jesus. I wish you could see the impact this has on my life.
Aside from the "Greatest Hits Thread", you have to account for the other 100,000+ Turkers also. Or at least last time I checked the numbers and statistics. For batches, there are numerous things that play into account. One of the main being qualifications. If a requester post a job that requires virtually no qualifications, hit approval %, and doesn't require a certain amount of hits, than that batch is subject to be done by twice as many Turkers obviously. I've seen particular situations where a requester needed say 100,000 hits done 10 times each. So the hits were formatted so that each hit of the 100,000 had to be done 10 times. Talking about a slow moving batch? There are many other things you have to also take into account. Time and Time Zones play a major role. For example, Set Master, he post every morning at 9:30 central. At 9:30 central, the East Coast has been up for hours, the Central Zone is already up, and the West Coast just woke up or is waking up. There are many different factors when adding up how quick the batches go. But as long as I been working on Amazon, I've seen very slow times, and very busy times. But, I've NEVER once seen a time where there weren't any hits open and available for me to do. If someone says there's nothing to do, their either not looking hard enough, or their just being lazy. I've worked some long, long, long hours day and night behind a computer and have yet to say that I've completed every single survey through all of the pages of Mturk. But once I have, I will then say it's dried up. But I don't see that day coming anytime soon. For the ones that depend on the greatest hits section, it's all in all, a great section for people to learn the ropes, communicate, and learn some more. But you can't be a leader by following everyone elses hits here. It's just like starting a business, when you venture off on your own you will defiantly make the most money, but you will also hold more responsibility. For example, monitoring reviews much more closer when working by yourself.

I might get to right another page after I finish up these 157,857 hits available. Working long hours this week so I can get a new echo weed eater and self propelled lawn mower. :*******: Finally got moved, and I must say oh god, how I will never miss apartment living again. Oh lord, how I love having a lawn to take care of and a big enough space for the veggie garden. :lock1:
you talking about the 50 that keeps randomly popping up? thats been getting passed around since like 2am :/
