ROFL believe me, if that'd help it, I would. Uhhh no this one's way too weird to even try and diagnose. I just cleaned out my PC. Air can blah blah dust dust check fans good whee done. Fired up the PC and now it's ticking? Like...the sound it makes when you first press the power button and it clicks on? Yeah, every few mins it makes that click, click, click sound. Then stops. WTF did I break?!
I often recommend dunking it in the toilet and/or setting it on fire. Sometimes works....sometimes doesn't. Mostly the later.
I will never do a Akumal hit again in life. Idc what the pay is. They are by far one of the worst hits to do bc they take forever to pay.
Sounds like something is up with the fan. Perhaps it got all kittywampus after the encounter with the air can?
Clicking is never good. Sounds like the hard drive from what you describe. Back up your data ASAP if you haven't already. There are hard drive diagnostic utilities you can run too. Dusting wouldn't have caused it though. May just be a coincidence.
Is this a good example of that? or a faster version (hey, you can only embed one video per post.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KLws9HzT-c If so is that what you have Morrisa? Uh oh, RIP October is here If not an issue I've had with dusting is like PumpkinPants said issues with fan noises changing, and I've also had stuff get unplugged or loose so you might want to check all connections as well. Good luck.
Hmm, doesn't quite sound like that. And it's not constant. It does it for a few seconds, stops for several mins, comes back, clicks 5 or 6 times, etc. It's a hard to explain sound - very close to the initial tick the computer makes when you first power it on, or the sound it makes when you shut it down and it finally clicks off.
I don't know what I'm talking about but that sounds like it could be a fan issue then, starting up or shutting down, and maybe changing speeds based on what you're doing and that's why it's not constant? Regardless, always a good idea to back important stuff up.
Your hard drive is likely going out. Back it up and get a new one. You can clone your original to the new one.
My old man also said if you have a dvd drive, it can click after blowing it out if you got a speck of dirt on the laser lens.
The ticking means it's going to explode. Quick, run for the hills.... (Me thinks it's a wire hitting one of the fans or something as simple as the speaker wire plugged into the back of your puter. Take apart and see if anything is on the CPU fan, Vid card or power supply)
