Holy crap! That's a lot of money! Congrats. How long did it take you to earn that much? I'm new and trying to estimate how many hours a day/week/month I need to put in. Idealyl, I would love to earn a minimum of 1200 a month.

Be on at the right time, and be willing to put in the hours. That money doesn't come fast or easy. Keep a grind mode starter kit handy. For me this includes coffee pods, advil, easy ready to eat foods to feed my kids.
I'd suggest you add things that you use. If you're a smoker, add an extra pack so that you don't have to run to the store halfway through a batch. Turk life is serious business. Need to be able to commit 100%. Sure you're husband may think you're having an online affair from time to time, but if he doesn't approve of you spending all your time with us, I also have a list of good divorce lawyers.

-Worry about getting your approved hits up (5000+) before worrying about how much money you make
    -Collect Qualifications
-Don't go so fast that you sacrifice quality for money
-If you haven't looked into scripts/extensions....https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/by-site/mturk.com
-Be ready. I use Turkmaster to alert me when my favorite requesters/HITs post. If I'm at home and not at my PC...speakers are at max volume.

I've been doing mturk since the end of April and work part time, I'd say 28-35 hours a week. Set daily goals for yourself and then change those daily goals to daily minimums. Your goal is very obtainable.

    This is very VERY important.

Here is my worker report for this week:

Your HIT activity for this week:
    - Number of HITs submitted: 4,143

Approvals and payments that occurred this week:
    - Number of HITs approved: 4,535
    - Number of HITs rejected: 0
    - Bonus reward earned: $1.14
    - HIT reward earned: $186.72
    - Total Amount earned this week: $187.86

I missed the first batch of sergeys, and then was exercising thru another. The third, I knew they were up but was TOO LAZY to do many. I only made $35.00 off them when many people were pulling $100+ from them. I could have cleared $250 this week. :(

To add on to what Yourface said about turkmaster, I also still use turkalert.com for email notifcations on my phone when I'm away from the house. They have been averaging about 3 minutes after the hits actually post. Doesn't help with catching them, but helps with knowing when something hit or if you're missing something and want to hurry home.

That 5k hump is the big one for me.. been turking for about a month as supplemental, only at about 3k. Whenever a batch I actually like shows up and sticks around, it always goes 5k+ or Masters. I've been thinking about spending a day doing transcription to rack numbers. Yaworsky was 'sposed to be my salvation :p

    Appreciate all the advice!

PS Lori: totes a guy and straight :p But my wife has wondered once lol

HA! My boyfriend got a bit bitchy Friday because I promised to make steak for dinner. When I told him how much I had made, he shut the hell up and took the kids to the coney down the street :)

Yeah 5k felt like it took forever. I am trying to get to 10k now. I took a few months off and now I am trying to get to 10k approved. I have a toddler so he needs quite a bit of supervision and I feel really guilty if I ignore him too long to do mturk stuff. I honestly set myself a ridiculously small daily average so I can leave plenty of time for my little guy. If we needed the money I would figure out a way to make it happen.
