I would think it would take less time to do them the normal way than to load up the app and wait for it to recognize. I'm not getting how that's all that worth it but maybe I'm missing something.

I agree. I've just been opening the Google link in a new tab, seeing if it looks right (which it does 95% of the time) quickly scrubbing through the youtube vid to make sure it's legit and submitting. Takes about 30 seconds per HIT and they've all been approved.
I only work on YTA when there's nothing else up and they almost always post really late night/early morning. Using the app, it recognizes the song within about 5secs for me so I can do a couple per minute. It's like smiths for me; when there's nothing else going on I'll work em.

Does anyone here use Windows 7? There is an option now to upgrade for free to Windows 10 (when available), but i love Windows 7 a little too much, so I don't know.
Windows 7, hate Windows 8, gonna give Windows 10 a try it seems they are gonna add back the Start button and make it more user friendly than 8
Personally I hate learning new things so I know what I'd do. Refuse to upgrade until they stop updating something important I'm already annoyed enough with Chrome changing its bookmarking system and Netflix changing its homepage layout and eliminating user reviews...
