I am a little confused by this. I feel like if I could legitimately choose 7 - 9 I really should be calling 911 right now instead of doing a survey.
I also think plenty of people who think they deserve it might not. Ignoring twirdman for a second, I don't think he's undeserving, but plenty of people bitch and moan that they deserve it and they've done this and that. People may say I've worked for this requester, done so many of X hit. People are biased toward themselves a lot. Maybe they turned in shitty work or aren't as good at some tasks as they think they are.

When I started good mturk pay was minimum wage, now "good" mturk pay is like... half the local minimum wage. Dunno what to even call $7/hr. At-least-I-can-eat-pay? Private Masters forum. "Is it even possible to make $1000 or more per month?" :')
Oh, no, I won't get masters, and I'm the opposite of salty about it. Pretty sure I'd actually have to turk to get masters. I haven't done more than ~20 HITs a day in weeks.
