This is likely all I'll say on this particular topic in this particular forum, but... jokes like the one xailos makes aren't all that funny, because the humor just seems to reinforce the current gender disparity. It's punching down, not punching up. The humor involved is saying "men get to make these jokes, and women can either laugh along or get angry, but women are still the butt of the punchline." I think xailos gets that, though, which is why he pre-apologized for offending. But it's such an easy joke to make, and there's no real bite to it, and as Turks and Caicos showed by her reaction, it puts her on edge just hearing it. If you're going to make a misogyny joke, I've got two suggestions: A. make it funny, and 2. make misogynists uncomfortable. Punch up, don't punch down.
