It's boggling to me, his other child died at the same age at the hands of a man who lost his temper.. You would think just that reality would keep someone aware enough of their actions that "Cuts and bruises and lesions" down the legs and back and butt of a four year old wouldn't even be an issue. In lighter news I've been for amusement monitoring somebody in my final grad course that did absolutely nothing for a group assignment and basically posted a "thanks for doing everything for me" message and the instructor just posted calling him out on it I'd link the damn thing if I could because oooooooohhhhhhh shit he's got nowhere to hide
I have a kid about to turn 3. I understand on rare occasion in your head wanting to clobber them because they can be a world class pain in the fucking rear and there are days that OH MY GOD I WILL NEVER HAVE SEX AGAIN THIS IS SO BAD but how you can actually physically bring yourself to do that in real life will always be a mystery to me There was an NFL reporter, I think Adam Schefter but I'm too lazy to check that put it best tweeting in essence "there's a lot of things parents used to do, that doesn't mean they were good ideas"
I had a kindergartner come into class one morning, lift up the back of his shirt, and say "look what my daddy did." It looked like something from fucking "Roots." Sent him to the nurse and called CPS. NOTHING happened! Guy was in the Navy, too. I was hoping that'd make a difference. Nope. Absolutely sickening.
I've found CPS to be pretty useless. My sister and her husband are both addicts, and the level of neglect towards their kids is unbelievable. House full of garbage and shit, never any food, lice, constant fighting, electricity and water turned off half the time. CPS came out once, said they would follow up, never did. Grrrr....

Hey.. Keep trying. Don't give up on the kid, and don't give up on the system. You're in a rough spot, document all you can, call every time you see something, take pictures because someone somewhere will lose them, but don't give up. Sad thing is I'm guessing that kid didn't have a great night tonight after dad found out and they just sent him home. Ridiculous. Maybe this guys mom really did him him until those cuts and lacerations (The pictures are a we bit more than I switched my kid for being bad) but the texts too about accidentally getting him in the balls but kids were gonna know how to act.. Man what are you teaching that child? How to properly cause injury to a 4 year old? You are supposed to protect your child, and like I said, he had another child who was beat to death.. you'd think he'd be extra sensitive about that. I doubt I could ever lift a hand or switch to a my child if I had already lost one to violence.
