I have somehow managed to have never seen Frozen nor heard any of the songs from it. I have a 6 year old step daughter too. I am not sure how I have dodged that bullet, but I am grateful that I have.
The director of Frozen said their parents didn't die, they landed on an abandoned island where they had Tarzan. Not sure why he's brothers with Elsa and not Anna. Maury Povich might have to answer that one.

Actually, if you're into 3D animation or filmmaking in general, it's an extremely stunning film visually. I found myself in awe of how several scenes were constructed and whatnot. Then again, I'm a nerd for that stuff.
Any of the video game people here try Soma yet? Seems interesting but not sure I'm ready to drop 30 bucks on it.
From what I gathered, the parents were on their way back from Rapunzel (their niece) wedding. A storm caused the ship to sink, the same ship wreck you see in The Little Mermaid. The King and Queen washed up on shore and had Tarzan at some point. They were killed by the leopard. So Elsa, Anna, and Tarzan are all siblings and Rapunzel is their cousin.
