Big difference in doing work for new requesters and doing work for requesters stating they're using majority rules. Never rely on the work of other people unless the pay is really good and you don't mind rejections, if you ask me.
The majority of requesters are totally fine. It's rare these days that people genuinely get screwed without reversals. That said, all I can tell you is do what you're comfortable with. If a job is super straightforward and the requester has no TO, I'll do a small bunch and wait for approvals. When they approve, I'll do more the next time. If I'm not 150% sure and the hits are kind of subjective, I'll do 5 or 10 hits to test first. Never had any issues with that method.
