That's true.I used too do it all the time with chrome on my desktop,but don't seem to have too as much anymore.
I just tried it on my Windows 8 laptop and it didn't make a difference. Like I said, works fine on the Vista one. I matched the FF settings on both but still doesn't work.

That's weird,wonder if it's something with Windows 8 and the compatibility with FF. I don't know tons about compoopers. Or I wouldn't be asking the questions I'm asking. Sorry. I'd try googling it and see what comes up or try and see if there's a tut on Youtube.
Crowdflower doesn't reject on these or most HITs. Just put in an honest effort. If your accuracy drops you can't do any more of that specific HIT is all. (of course, guessing doing them in like 20 seconds probably will get you rejects and maybe a hard block).

Oh that's not the first odd thing with Windows 8. I hate it. I use Classic Shell so it mimics Windows 7. Don't use the 'App' side at all.
