Speech Research says female only now for the .10 but I'm cut off. I'm also cutoff from .09 even though I didn't do any of those.
They could probably do something in the overnight money markets or play around with interbank lending but I doubt it. The people that due that (e.g., Goldman Sachs) do it with much more than what Amazon would be doing it with
You would but a multi-billion dollar corporation likely isn't going to commit unethical banking practices and potentially run afoul of federal regulators in order to make what amounts to pennies in the grand scheme of things.
Yeah that's not something any Fortune 500 would do, ever. Please show me where Goldman Sachs was floating transferable holdings through securities while in transit to customers?
Calling it a night at $0.90. Time for Capt America: Civil War and the last of the juice (thought I'd be done yesterday, but alas).
I am not saying the GS would hold onto payments for an extra 24 hours. But the big banks do engage in such in/out transactions with excess funds. I cannot post link because I am on an iPad. Overnight market on Wikipedia
There isn't something super nefarious at play. If you've been around Mturk long enough you know it's basic incompetency and gross apathy towards the platform. They've bled requesters (think how many left to go in-house?) while going on to raise fees. To be fair, as of late, they seem to be attempting to make the platform more developed yet stuff like this happens. Let's not even get into the technical aspects of their "innovation" that has been unveiled.
Gotcha. That is certainly true but Amazon is not a bank and I don't believe they are administered by one. I believe their financial status is simply "money transmitter".
I don't think they could do that, though. The work has been approved, so mturk meddling in there wouldn't be appropriate. They don't care if people scam, as long as it doesn't affect their bottom line.

I'm still not sure how people can make money on RnR. I know people do, but I''m too stupid to figure out how to do it.
kinda laughing at people thinking 100,000$ daily made on interest is worthy of amazon a corporation worth 400 bil+ Yes, they feel the need to scam a couple 1,000$ daily off a platform they don't really care about. You got them guys!
I don't think anyone actually thinks that's what they are doing. We were just talking about how money could be made by holding onto money longer.
"interest? money they make off of holding ours. " "They could theoretically invest the money overnight and make bank. It's easier said than done, but it has been done. " "Interest earned on our money. " "By holding it for an extra day it raises your balance up and then more comes in as you pay out the previous days and keeps your balance at that higher amount all month long. " okay then, so you guys just like talking about something that makes no sense? sounds about right
Also, it is kind of amusing to think that even though they are worth 400 bil+ that they worry about things like charging premium fees for masters workers and increasing other charges to requesters. Personally, I think that they keep the platform around because it could be useful in the future. I believe mturk started as a way for them to get people to type in CD track listings into their database for sales purposes
