The reasoning behind all of this is a streamlining of spending. I decide to ditch att uverse. I get unlimited net access on the prepaid phone and is a bit cheaper. So for now I do 99% of my turking on my lg optimus q phone. And for now the turking funds are allocated to getting a new samsung galaxy s3 phone. I'm getting close to the total and am contemplating a small bluetooth keyboard and mouse for it as well.
kuddish I like your Avater. have you heard this one,
My mom works for Verizon. Way back when we still had Verizon DSL, our connection would get spotty whenever it rained. She said it was because water got into the insulation of the old copper lines and that screwed with DSL signals. The sucky part is that they're not required to repair/replace those old lines because they only have to maintain them to the point where the phone service works. Sooo glad I'm on cable now. It's too late for this confusion D:
Thank you! It's creeping me out, but I've tried two computers and the tablet, so at least I know it's not a virus.
We used to get problems most when it rains. I think a matter of old lines and moisture rather than cold they just tend to coincide.
Yeah, I jumped through all kinds of hoops, manually changed my IP address, changed the channel for my signal, blah, blah, blah. One of the more annoying things was that I found that if I didn't use a router, but instead hooked up an Ethernet cable directly to my modem, I had zero issues. At one point, I went and bought my own separate router and modem (the 2wire is router and modem in one, which shouldn't be a problem, but I think that was a lot of my problem), a Motorola modem and a Netgear router. That did improve things somewhat, but it wasn't until the neighbors started switching that things really improved.
I will try to post every time I do one -- at least until I finish -- to help others remember. Maybe after I finish, someone else can take over the duty. But for now I'm going to go to bed, so no more Microsoft PSAs until tomorrow (or later today). ;-)
