Same kind of handling as a series I was recommending to a friend a few days ago; both alternate-history type things; both delicate, deft, nuanced plotlines written by very talented people that go *way* beyond the fact that the story sometimes mentions the main characters' feelings for each other... and they're reduced to so much Harlequin trash, argh. **not speaking of the site you linked here; they copied the blurb from IMDB
Off subject...but does anyone have 50/50 joint custody of a child with their ex? His father is trying to manipulate everything concerning our son and his schedule, he sleeps when he has our son instead of watching him, relies on his girlfriend for transportation instead of fixing his car, his girlfriend yells at my kid for telling her the truth about how awful my ex is behind her back, the list goes on and on. I hate the idea of dragging my kid through court (not to mention how much it costs) but it seems like joint custody is not working for us. Sorry to vent. I'm just really upset right now and I'd like to know how other people make joint custody work for them.

It just seems ridiculous to me. We aren't even divorced yet. He was seeing her when he still lived with me. His lawyer told him he wasn't even supposed to introduce our son to the gf until we were divorced. Yet it doesn't seem there is anything I can do. He moved into the apartment next door to her. And I would LOVE to get a restraining order against her for my son, but I'm not sure yelling is a good enough reason in the court's eyes to do that.
