I do remember liking those (only had them 1 or 2 times). This reminds me of one of my favorite candy bars which you can still buy (really not that common but they do come in bite size versions).
So this is a Snack Down, down memory lane. Most of what I used to like isn't made any more and what is still made, doesn't taste like it did. Coca Cola. What is it they're putting in cans and calling a coke? I remember prying the cap off a coke BOTTLE and smelling the fizz. It smelled like a coke. Not any more it don't. New coke, classic coke, what ever. It ain't coke.(I'm being to sound like a druggie)...I won't go into my opinion of downsizing Hershey bars and wrapping them in indestructible plastic...although every time I try to unwrap my chocolate bar I think about a few choice remarks.
So this is a thing now? Emotional support ducks https://www.buzzfeed.com/bradesposito/emotional-support-duck?utm_term=.trv5rz7v13#.trv5rz7v13
I'm not sure there ever was. When I was a decorator back in NoVa one of my clients owned a company that made flavorings like cheese, caramel etc. etc. Nothing but chemicals make up most of those flavors. He gave me a box of cheese crackers made with his company's flavoring. They were so good. Tasted just like Cheez-Its.
I always read the ingredients, even snack foods. That's why I like TJ's, no chemicals or preservatives in their foods, no mysterious ingredients. Cheese flavor is cheese, peanut flavor is peanuts.
I buy most of my food there. Unfortunately the Popcorn in a Pickle is seasonal, only in the summer. But the Sweet Potato Chips are all-year.
I love TJ's too! The closest one to me is over an hour away so I stock up when I go to my daughter's. She has one right down the street. In a related matter, we are getting a new Aldi's down the road from where I live. It should be opened in a few months. I'm so excited!!
I have, um, 3 TJ's within driving distance, besides 2 down in the city... 3 Aldi's... Did you know both stores are owned by the same company?
I did know that. Did you know that the company does a 40 billion dollars a year business? Unbelievable! My sister has had Aldi's in upstate NY for many years but we got our first one around here just a couple of years ago. That one is about 20 minutes from me but the new one will be less than 5 minutes! They had eggs for .67/dozen last week!
I went to Aldi's the first time with a friend. I read ingredients, she looks at brand names. I spent about $40, she left wiith nothing.
Anyone awake? So I just did a Consumer Survey Research hit or at least tried to. Description said it took 5 minutes. I answered survey questions, watched a 3 minute video, answered more questions and got this message "Thank you for sharing your opinions! We're sorry, but the quota group that you qualified into is complete, so on this occasion, we thank you for your time but will not be asking you to complete the remainder of the survey. Thanks again!" Umm what. I sent them a message but it is 2:45am and I know no one will be awake to respond. I want to submit the hit on principle since I spent over 5 minutes on it already but am not enthused at the idea of a rejection.
Would it be able to eat the rejection if they don't approve? Does the T.O. ever mention anyone getting blocked?
