I did a side job for a few months for Steven Schneider and it paid $500/week and he paid through mturk bonuses. Which is why my bonus income is higher than approved hits income. Had the job lasted longer he would have had to do taxes on us.
Ok but 500.00 a week for a few months is not 20k. LOL Super awesome though, but 20k... from one requester. That's just ... damn. That's really crazy and awesome.
yeah but it would have been close to 30K had the job lasted a year. I sure wish it would had! My point is it's not hard to believe someone made 20K a year when you have a lot of side jobs. I'm probably going to top that with Zmenus alone this year.
They will probably automatically send you something. But it's not going to be a bother asking them for their info, if anything it just shows you're being responsible. They don't want the IRS knocking on their doors anymore than you do! If they have a problem with it, I'd side eye them about it.
I honestly just didn't think of someone making that much from one requester alone. That's awesome. Good job! Edit: I'm at just under 8k in 6 months, so I definitely know over 20k is possible since people make a whole lot more than I do. Just never thought of it being from one requester.
The fact that you are just under 8k in 6 months gives me so much hope. I am so sick of making my car payment and plan on using mTurk to cut the 3 years I have left on it to as little as possible.
